Duration: 1 hour
This workshop explores how loose parts offer children endless possibilities for imagination, experimentation, collaboration, and deep thinking.
Grounded in the BC Early Learning Framework and supported by leading early childhood scholars, it examines how children think with materials and how creativity emerges through rich material encounters. Across three modules, educators reflect on children’s agency, materiality, and the relational presence required to create environments where loose parts play can genuinely flourish.
