Duration: 2.5 hours
This workshop explores how your image of the child—the beliefs you hold about children’s capacities and identities—shapes every aspect of early learning, from environments and routines to documentation and curriculum.
Grounded in the BC Early Learning Framework and its four Living Inquiries, it draws on Malaguzzi, Rinaldi, Vygotsky, Pacini-Ketchabaw, and Moss to reframe curriculum as democratic, relational, and responsive. Through four reflective modules, educators analyze scenarios, engage with child-inclusive practices, and learn how to align daily decisions with the ELF to create learning environments that honor every child’s competencies and perspectives.
