This workshop explores how intentional play invitations and provocations can deepen children’s inquiry, engagement, and learning.
Grounded in the BC Early Learning Framework, Reggio Emilia philosophy, and research on material encounters, it highlights how environments, materials, and relational presence shape children’s responses. Through reflective scenarios, daily strategies, and examples of co-constructed play, educators learn to design invitations that honor children’s ideas, spark curiosity, and support social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
