Duration: 1 hour
Social interactions in early learning settings are full of complexity, emotion, and possibility. In this workshop, educators explore the ways children learn to navigate conflict, negotiate differences, and build relationships through play.
Drawing on the BC Early Learning Framework and leading early childhood thinkers, this session reveals play as the living space where children experiment with fairness, power, belonging, and empathy. Instead of viewing conflict as disruption, educators discover how it becomes a rich site of meaning-making and relational growth. Through reflective practice and attuned presence, participants learn to support children’s social problem-solving with curiosity, calmness, and trust.
