Duration: 3 hours
Infants and toddlers cannot regulate their emotions, impulses, or stress independently. They depend on educators and caregivers to notice their signals, interpret them sensitively, and respond with warmth and consistency.
This process—known as co-regulation—forms the basis for secure attachment, emotional development, and later self regulation. Drawing on the insights of Shanker, Bowlby, Ainsworth, Siegel, Bryson, Vygotsky, Piaget, Jennings, Bandura, Langer, and others, alongside the British Columbia Early Learning Framework (2019), this workshop explores co-regulation through four modules. Each module offers theoretical depth, classroom examples, reflective questions, and activities, helping educators translate theory into daily practice.
