Duration: 3 hours
This workshop examines what inclusive practice truly means for children aged 3–5, emphasizing that inclusion goes beyond presence—it is about creating environments where every child feels valued, capable, and able to participate fully. Grounded in the BC Early Learning Framework, the workshop explores identity, belonging, and relational learning as foundations of inclusion.
Drawing on Booth & Ainscow, CAST, Dahlberg, Moss & Pence, and Derman-Sparks & Edwards, participants will learn strategies for accessible curriculum design, reflect on bias and equity, and consider how families and communities help sustain inclusive practices. Through four modules, educators engage with scenarios, reflection questions, and practical activities to co-create more inclusive early learning environments.
