Duration: 3 hours
This workshop explores how Indigenous perspectives, worldviews, and knowledge systems can inform and enrich early childhood education (ECE). Grounded in both the British Columbia Early Learning Framework (ELF) and the Indigenous Early Learning and Child Care (IELCC) Framework, educators will learn to approach practice with respect for Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and doing.
Through readings, reflective activities, and real-world scenarios, participants will deepen their understanding of how to weave Indigenous perspectives into pedagogy, create culturally responsive environments, and strengthen relationships with Indigenous children, families, and communities.
