Honoring Indigenous Perspectives in Early Childhood Education

3.5-Hour Professional Learning Workshop

This workshop explores how Indigenous perspectives, worldviews, and knowledge systems can enrich early childhood practice. Grounded in the British Columbia Early Learning Framework and the Indigenous Early Learning and Child Care Framework, educators are invited to reflect on how to create more culturally responsive environments and build respectful relationships with Indigenous children, families, and communities.

Through reflection and practical strategies, educators will deepen their understanding of how to thoughtfully integrate Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and doing into everyday practice.
