Duration: 3 hours
This workshop introduces how strong family partnerships enhance children’s experiences in early learning settings. Grounded in the BC Early Learning Framework (2019), it highlights the relational, holistic nature of learning and the importance of seeing families as true partners. Drawing on Bronfenbrenner, Epstein, and Derman-Sparks & Edwards, the workshop explores practical, culturally responsive strategies for building and sustaining meaningful family engagement. Through four modules, educators reflect, analyze scenarios, and learn ways to integrate families into curriculum in ways that support belonging, identity, and equitable practice.
